There are certain frames of mind in life that will serve you.
I know that I have suffered from many negative states of mind in my life:
“What is the point?”
“I’ will never succeed.”
“I wish my father had taught me that.”
“I am the victim.”
So today i thought I’d share a few alternatives that have helped me.
1. “I am responsible.”
“A traveler wearied from a long journey lay down, overcome with fatigue, on the very brink of a deep well. Just as he was about to fall into the water, Dame Fortune, it is said, appeared to him and waking him from his slumber thus addressed him: “Good Sir, pray wake up: for if you fall into the well, the blame will be thrown on me, and I shall get an ill name among mortals; for I find that men are sure to impute their calamities to me, however much by their own folly they have really brought them on themselves.” -Aesop
Moral: Everyone is more or less the master of his own fate.
There are many outcomes in life that are out of your control.
You lost your job.
Or maybe you don’t have a job.
Money is tight.
Or maybe you’re just fat.
The mindset of the masses is: “It’s someone else’s fault.”
The problem with this mindset of the sheep is that they don’t realize it enslaves them.
It is obvious that there are many things in life that are someone else’s fault:
-Toxic Culture caused by feminism
-Central banks devaluing your dollars
-China releasing a virus onto the world
One can feel defeated by the sheer magnitude of all these external forces…OR
You can just say, “I’m responsible.”
-I will shame toxic culture and practice virtue.
-I will buy Bitcoin and become a revolutionary in the separation of money and state.
-I will use quarantine to build my body and skills.
This is the mindset of accepting reality….
The truth.
And the truth is that you are responsible for only your own actions.
Accepting responsibility for your actions is a liberating and transformative process.
Why?
Because no one controls your actions but you.
2. “I am grateful.”
Find something to be grateful for each day.
I know I tweet a lot about clown world….
But even amidst clownery there are blessings.
“How does it help…to make troubles heavier by bemoaning them?”
–Seneca
Find pleasure in many thing:
-The beautiful weather
-Your health
-Family
-Your loving dog
It doesn’t matter.
What I do from time to time is simply write down on a sheet of paper the blessings in my life.
It reminds me that even in this clown world I can find things to appreciate in my own realm.
3. “No matter what happens everything will be ok.”
“To bear trials with a calm mind robs misfortune of its strength and burden.” —Seneca
This mindset is simply about self trust.
No matter how shitty the world around you gets….by enduring it with poise and calm you rob clowntopia of its power.
-Polyamory celebrated….”Won’t rob my poise.”
-Drag queen storytime….“I will calmly shame it.”
-Feminist shaming you as an incel….“It’s ok….they are adrogynous cat women.”
This works for personal matters too….
Shitty job interview,
Wife divorced you,
Didn’t do so hot on that exam….
Trust your self.
“Everything will be ok.”
Don’t sweat these things….“we are all specs in the vast eternity of time.”
Which brings me to the next mindset.
4. “Today is all there is”
The past cannot be changed.
The future is not yet here.
By focusing too much on either you rob yourself of all there truly is….
The now.
“It is not that we are given a short life but we make it short, and we are not ill-supplied but wasteful of it.”–Seneca
Avoid time thieves….Read This Once a Month…Life Is Short (I always link this one because it’s so important)
I tweeted this out a few weeks back: “Procrastination is like masturbation you are just screwing yourself.”
I have seen too many people come and go in and out of this life before the age of 30.
Do not wait to pursue the life you desire.
The present is all there is, and it’s all there will ever be.
Today is all that matters.
5. “I will conquer Vice.”
Pornography addiction.
Alcohol/drug addiction.
Idleness.
Phone addiction.
It doesn’t matter.
These vices hold you back.
And some people will squirm as I say that these vices should be fought.
That’s simply because your brain has been given its fill of dopamine from these vices.
Imagine the life you could create if you killed these vices and rewired your reward system towards more fruitful actions.
Pornography–>Weight lifting
Alcohol/Bar-hopping–>Water/healthy eating/Hobby
Phone addiction–>Reading
The potential is endless for the man who sets his mind towards conquering his demons.
6. “I will be a friend to myself.”
This one was hard for me for a long time.
“You are not enough.”
“You deserve everything bad that happens to you.”
“What is wrong with you?”
“I hate myself.”
Would you ever say these things to a good friend on a daily basis.
It’s no wonder people lack confidence and have zero self-esteem….they treat themselves like a piece of shit and berate themselves constantly.
Treat yourself as you would a good friend.
“You are enough.”
“You deserve all of life’s blessing.”
“You can get through this.”
Become your own best friend.
It’s already enough of a battle navigating a world that despises men…..don’t add to it with your own negativity.
7. “I will focus on my purpose.”
I agree with the red pill bros on this one.
Find a purpose. Any purpose.
-I will help men achieve self mastery.
-I will build the body of a spartan.
-I will become a master coder.
-I will graduate with honors.
-I will enjoy my life and not be sucked in by society’s pressures.
Each man is different.
But unlike the abundance of thirsty simps in our world….the man with a purpose has a life outside of female validation.
He is validated through conquering objectives.
Through staying committed to his process.
These are some mindset shifts that have helped me.
I hope they help you too.
Talk to you guys soon.
